Living at the Retreat--Just 10 minutes from Skiing

One of my fav. parts of living at the Retreat is the proximity to the resorts.  My 3 yr old has been skiing four times this week...2 days of lessons and 2 days of not wanting to leave--The most convenient part is that we are just 10 minutes from the base of Park City Mountain Resort.  So, if we decide to make a few turns or (more likely) spend the day its so convenient...below is a short video from yesterday when we hit the turtle run off First Time lift!

Movie Watching...and more!

Here it is...our theater room...perfect for Monday night football and family movie nights!  My daughter and I had the opportunity to watch Christmas Wishes in Fairyland with a friend the other day!  What a fun and (cheap) playdate!

I got my workout on this morning...

One of my most fav. parts of living here at the Retreat is the proximity of the workout room...because I don't need a ton of excuses to skip it...So I walk downhill (helpful) into a warm room (also helpful) and work out on some of the most advanced exercise equipment!  Usually I run on the treadmill but today I wasn't feeling it so I jumped on the ellipitcal thinking I'd slack...BUT...then I hit the wrong button which turned on the "The TRUE Mix3™ workout taking me through a random sequence of exercises that work the entire body", I think it's my new fav. all around workout...For more information on how you can quit your gym membership and live at the Retreat..call me 435-658-2300

Totally Kids Weekly Review-Black Diamond Gym

This week I'm going to tell you about Black Diamond Gym.  Located in NewPark at Kimball Junction Black diamond gym offers a few open gym sessions to wear out that toddler-There are a number of fun things to do around town for adults and teens but when it comes to fun for the little ones it's a little limited so this week I want to share with you a secret: 45 minutes of free play on trampolines, bars, etc.  My daughter is a huge fan and I am bigger fan of the restful nap it induces after!

Other than open gym, they offer kids night out, summer camps and much more-

Here are the current open gym times:
Monday at noon
Friday and Saturday at 11am

The cost is $10 and well worth the cash!

Park City Dirt Jump Park--Review!

So, this is not your normal week review of leisure but it's something to be considered--how cool is this? A dirt park right in the middle of town?  Hidden on the hillside behind the fire station in Park Meadows.  I have jogged by this before not knowing that this was a public park--thinking to myself some crazy kids have gone wild!

I wonder how you can have a normal childhood in Park City?  It's not possible--There are way to many cool things to do!  This is a fav of mine as I grew up riding dirt bikes...I don't think you could get me on a BMX bike today but if you are braver than me check this out:

THE BEST PART...it's located approx 5.5 miles from the Retreat...if you ride your bike you can be there in approx. 25 minutes (maybe faster if you are not riding a cruiser hauling a toddler behind)!

What to do with your Summer in PC...

With the Summer months ahead of us, it's time to start thinking about how we are going to spend the days...Here is a commitment for you: a weekly review of a fun thing to do around town.  Of course I will tell you all about it, and then give you the mileage from our neighborhood to show you how convenient this place really is!  While it snowed last night I can't stop thinking about golf...so this week I'm reviewing Park City Golf Course.

Personally, I love this course.  I have played it many times and the greens are always in great shape and faster than your normal public course.  The setting is to die for and if you are lucky enough to be around in the fall there is no better place to enjoy the leaves changing than on the golf course.

My favorite hole is no. 6 which is a short downhill par 4.  Club selection off the tee is tricky and the approach shot to a fairly narrow green has to be thoughtful as there is a pond in front!  The staff is always friendly and there is easy access to food and drink (which is always a top priority for me)!  While the driving range and practice facility is the one downfall to the course you have to take it with a grain of salt as the real estate is scarce around this golf course that literally backs up to Park City Mountain Resort.

In 2003, #18 was redesigned by William Neff Jr., and has proven to be one of the classic finishing holes in Utah. In addition to providing professionally designed and well kept greens, Park City Golf Club's elevation of 6700 feet can actually add distance to your shots while you play on a course that is typically 10 to 15 degrees cooler than most courses in the area-a definite bonus during the hot summer months."

We are soooo excited that we have begun constructing new homes again. We have pre-sold 3 homes this year--yes, that is correct pre-sold in this market! What that means is, we MUST be a smokin' deal--with all the foreclosures and short sales around our buyers are finding that our homes are still a better deal! For many reasons...not to mention no headaches of buying a home that has been sitting forever unoccupied and warranty free!
